Dr. Gianni De Bruyn is an Assistant Professor at the IPE, HKUST (GZ). His research focuses on how organizations navigate changing global environments, and how firm innovation can be used to address pressing societal challenges. His research has been published in Research Policy, and won several awards, including the Will Mitchell SRF award and SMS’ best student paper award. He received his Ph.D. in Business Policy and strategy from the University of South Carolina and holds a master’s degree in finance from Peking University. Ultimately, his goal is to produce research that not only advances academic understanding but also contributes to innovation policy and has a positive real-world impact.
