Dr. Yu BAI is a Professor of Practice in the Microelectronics Thrust at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), where he also serves as Director of the Entrepreneurship Center. He has extensive experience in technology commercialization, startup incubation, and entrepreneurship education. Previously, he helped establish and develop a national-level technology innovation center in Suzhou, supporting technology ventures and contributing to the growth of science and technology startups. He has also served as a judge for provincial-level entrepreneurship competitions and as a project mentor, and has taught entrepreneurship courses at institutions including Renmin University of China and SKEMA Business School.

At HKUST(GZ), he is committed to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem through initiatives such as technology transfer and proof-of-concept funding, co-investment mechanisms, and structured support for startup projects. Drawing on his experience in innovation and venture development, Dr. Bai brings practical insights into turning technological ideas into viable ventures.
